  • Nanofilaments of succinate corn starch were obtained by electrospinning.

  • It was necessary adding a plasticizer and a surfactant to obtain succinate corn starch filaments.

  • It was determined processing conditions of the electrospinning system to obtain succinate corn starch nanofilaments.

  • Succinate corn starch has a higher dielectric constant than native corn starch.

  • It was observed nanofilaments with a width average of 200 nm.
